The following centers provide a global focus to UIC.
The African American Cultural Center: Explores African American and African Diasporan traditions, builds campus and community partnerships, as well as putting focus on research, collaboration, and educational programming.
Asian American Resource and Cultural Center: Supports Asian American students and faculty, in addition to raising awareness of Asian American culture and strengthen the on campus community.
Center for Global Health: Seeks to improve the health of populations around the world by conducting collaborative, trans-disciplinary research and by building the capacity of the University to respond to the complex health issues that challenge all.
Hispanic Center of Excellence: Seeks to improve the medical care of Latinos in Illinois and increase the number of Latino applicants pursuing health careers.
Language and Culture Learning Center: Seeks to improve language learning and teaching at UIC through technology, blending learning environments, and by offering talks, clubs, and series’.
Rafael Cintron Ortiz Latino Cultural Center: Supports Latino students and faculty and help on campus and local communities deepen their understanding of Latino cultures, issues, and assets.
